The quickest way is, do it yourself!

Find a Carpenter who you can convince sincerely that it would be worth his while to take you on, and that you love carpentry and mean it, and you'll give it your best shot with everything you've got. That you won't be wasting his time. Then you're already through the door!!

If you family needs some carpentry at home, get them to have a number of quotations, and while there, you can chat about your goals and dreams of becoming a carpenter, and which is the best way to go about it....would he know of anyone in the industry who can benefit from you and your passion of becoming a carpenter.

Also write some letters introducing yourself, with a photo and write what you are offering. Your goals, hard working and your passion of the trade, and willingness to follow instructions, be loyal and not goof off. Any good businessman won't pass the chance for a good apprentice!!
