Question:

Where do I find homeschooling options for high school age children in Wisconsin?

I tried the online search and get blogs with no specifics, charter schools that appear to be the same school with different names, or no results. I went to the hsdla website and only found one listing. I guess I am just not entering the correct words if there is more than that.

Any suggestions?

  1. We use a Catholic program called Seton Home Study (www.setonhome.org).  If that's not for you, check out Saxon's programs.  I use and enjoy the Saxon Math program, but I believe they also have reading, etc.  http://saxonpublishers.harcourtachieve.c...

  2. there is http://www.wivcs.org

    and this one http://www.k12.com/h2owi

  3. You do realize that you don't HAVE to go through a school (on-line or otherwise) don't you?  And if you do choose to go through a school it doesn't HAVE to be based in Wisconsin? I read the laws for Wisconsin and all you really have to do is cover certain subjects, teach for the required hours, and file a notice on time, you don't have to enroll in an on-line school.  You can buy your own books and materials and just start studying.

Also, your same-school-with-different-name problem is probably just that the various on-line schools are using the same curriculum, like K12 or something.  A lot of them do.

Here are some links that I hope will help you.
