Where do I find out criminal check, previous and current addresses, and s*x offender status online?

Is there a way to find out all of the information that Intelius provides (background check, criminal history, previous and current addresses, and s*x offender list status are the ones I'm worried about) for free? I don't have the $50 but I'd really like to know this! I'm willing to do research online but I just don't know a site on where to start that will give me those things, and I don't want to do some credit card scam thing either. If I was going to give out my credit card I'd do it with Intelius. Where can I find this information at? It is important. I don't mind going to a bunch of sites, but I need to know this information and I don't have $50.

zaba search searches public info on addresses.

you would have to go to each individual state and type in the department of corrections.  They will let you do an offender search.  Same thing on s*x offender registry, each state has one.  Google that.
