Hi i was there 2 months ago in Barcelona. Lovely place. Go to the Avenue "Ramblas" loads and loads of fun stuff to do there and next to the beach nad many many stores to buy those things your looking for and restaraunts enjoy

In Barcelona, around the "Rambla"; In Madrid you have better choice.

Do not go to "El Corte Ingles"dept store which caterers to tourists,  on Gran Via, 1 block away from the dept store there is a spanish shop (right on the corner) that sells spanish regional costumes at reasonable price; only problem the vendors do not speak english.

neither but go south to the Costa del Sol, Malaga, Marbella and Torremolinos all have great shops.
