My grandmother passed away and I have several old dolls that I'd like to sell, but don't know how to go about doing so. I have browsed through ebay but it is hard to start out if I know nothing about the dolls and the market price.

  1. google... type in what it's name is, company, serial #, etc... u'll probably find one that's the same doll 4 sale somewhere...

  2. Antique Roadshow

  3. First thing you have to do is id the material of the doll, if its composition the arm inside will be solid, hard plastic open. leather 1900's. Then you move to the back of the head and or back of the back too there will be be a maker mark or name of a factory and if they are bisque (uncoated china) there will be a mold number. Everything had to be marked after 1880 with the name of the country of origin. Hope this gets you started
