I'm in London for the summer and I've got a craving for it, but I can't seem to find it anywhere! Isn't this supposed to be traditional British food?!!

  5. in london most resterants have become realy americanised

you should be able to find it at any troditional english resterant

im not sure if thell have it but try harrods, may be extremely expencive for a meal but if you want it that badly!

so just look for traditional english resterants-or up market pubs may have it too!

  6. Only takes 10 minutes or so to prep.  plus cooking time.

Buy a fillet of beef, Mushrooms, small pot of double cream and Puff Patry from your local supermarket.

Season and quickly seal off the beef in a very hot pan, then let it rest away from the heat. Put the mushrooms in a small pot with a little butter and cook them, add some white wine and reduce till wine is nearly gone. Add a little cream and check seasoning. Put mushrooms into a food blitzer and blitz.

Roll the pastry and Place beef fillet in it. Put the mushroom mix on top and fold pastry over. cut small lines into the pastry and bake in the oven till it is golden. Rest it for a few minutes and eat.

  7. Go to Clarks, and ask for a pair of size 10 Beef Wellingtons.  You won't be dissapointed.

  8. Pubs normally do this.  But to cook it yourself try Marks and Spencer or Waitrose.

Or, if you really want to be posh ... Harrods food hall or Fortnum and Mason

  9. The best & oldest English restaurant in London is Rules which opened in 1798..I'm sure they will do it...even if they don't its a fantastic restaurant
