Where do I get my driver's license translated?

I'm going to Germany over the summer, will be 18, and would like to drive while I'm there. I have an Ohio driver's license. According the the U.S. Embassy's website, I must have an "official translation" of my license. Where do I have that done? What will be the approximate cost?

I need to get that done to. But im sure you could just do it at your autopac, although I havent looked into it quit yet.

You can get an international driver's license at the local AAA - however, you might not be able to rent a car, since most companies only rent to people over 25. I'd check on this first before getting you hopes up.

And if you do drive, be careful. Germany's Autobahnen (highways) normally have no speed restrictions and if you're not used to driving at 120 to 150 miles per hour, you're going to have a problem.

And never pass on the right, always remain in the right lane unless you're passing a car. If you do the American trick of driving slowly in the middle lane, people will just about run you off the road.

make sure though, that if you rent a car you get automatic... in germany pretty much everybody drives a stick shift!
