Where do I get the coupon for adaptor to change TV from analog to digital?

Hi,

So my friend asked me to find this coupon for him and I have no idea what he is talking about. Don't even know where to look.

Supposedly, there is a coupon to help you afford to get this adaptor so your TV can receive digital signal because they are changing everything to digital??? Or something to that effect...

So any help you can give in figuring this out would be wonderful. I personally do not watch TV so I know nothing about this whole thing...my friend just doesn't have internet access, so I am stuck finding it for him.

Thank you for your help!

  2. http://www.dtv2009.gov

You can apply for up to two $40 coupons good toward the purchase of DTV converter boxes.  Remember, you only need a converter box if you watch TV from an antenna and you do not already have a digital TV receiver.  These boxes convert the Over The Air digital signals to work on old style analog TV sets.  If you have satellite or cable, you do not need a box.

If you are using a converter box, you will also need a good antenna.  Your existing antenna may be good enough.  To find out, visit http://www.antennaweb.org , put in your ZIP code and you will get a list of digital stations in your area, suggestions on antennas and where to aim them.

I hope this helps.  Please return and select a Best Answer from all of those submitted.
