Hello Everyone,

I'm a college student and I just bought a car recently and I was wondering where do I go to get a FULL CAR CHECK UP. I plan by some Miscellaneous accessories such as a spoiler, car dvd player, nice cd player, some amps and etc but I won't to buy them if my car has a problem that can result my car not working in the future. (Since I bought the car, I have went more than 2 thousand miles with any problems but it is still a used car) When I say FULL CHECK UP ,I'm not talking about a having checking to see if the oil is good. I want a Mechanic see if their problems with the engine, the transmission is working properly etc. Since I haven't notice any problems in the car, it shouldn't cost that much for this unless there is a problem which I would understand. Is there any popular locations that you have experience with that will do this and how much?

Thanks for your time

  1. A complete check up will cost $300 to $400. Check with one of the local parts stores, they can refer you to an ASE certified Mechanic. Either that, or take it to a dealer for that make of car. They can run a diagnostic through the car's computer. I'm glad you're thinking ahead before adding on other things. All too often, owners get tied up in their stereos and forget that the engine and transmission do all the real work.
