Question:

Where do I go to report someone who is married just to get citizenship? They are in an abusive relationship.

There are children involved in this situation. The one seeking citizenship has never lived with the American who has married him. He lives with his wife from another country in US. This has been going on for a very long time. He has almost gotten his citizenship. He is only in it for himself. What should I do? Can I do anything to prevent this from happening without causing myself to be publicly involved?

  1. Call immigration. This makes no sense to me "not living with the American wife, but is in an abusive relationship" how is that possible living apart? If he doesn't live with the wife and it has been going on a long time he is quite obviously giving her some incentive to stay in the relationship, perhaps money. She is as guilty as he is, personally I wouldn't get involved.

  2. but remember, no one likes a dobber.

  3. Write a letter or phone the Department Of Immigration

  4. Donna is correct - contact Immigration services.  But you're also making other accusations such as abuse.  Can you prove it?  I would assume that by you wanting to remain anonymous, either you can't or if you can, you probably wouldn't want to come forward.  Just understand that makes it tougher to do anything about.   You can always go to a pay phone and make an anonymous call, but eyewitnesses are best.

Nonetheless, go the pay phone and call immigration - not sure how much credibility they would put into that type of call, but it is worth a chance.

  5. Your first step should be to telephone the Dept of Immigration (DOI)and tell them you are concerned about this situation, but that you wish to remain anonymous. Do you know if the American wife will wish to be contacted by the DOI? Can you get her to report the matter to them instead?

  6. Get publicly involved - you have knowledge of immigration scam going on....

Both members of the couple belong in jail - and one needs to be deported.

The children would be better off without a immigration scamming momma ( a criminal ) or a abusive illegal (a criminal)  trying to cheat his way into becoming American....
