Where do I go to use the cheat codes for the sims 2 double deluxe??

Question

where would I find out how to use cheats and stuff? and am i suppose to open the cheat thing? is it when your playing the game or is it before you play the game? I'm new so I'm very stupid at this now. or can you do both?

while playing enter the cheats in the console. to bring up the console press Ctrl+Shift+C

if you want to get cheats go to one of the sites below or type "help" (without the "') in the console. note that this does not list all cheats!

Just go to google.com and type in Sim 2 cheats. Then you will have almost every cheat code to the Sim 2 game imaginable if there are any.

The cheats are listed in the readme that came with the game (no need to search for them on the web).  You can find the shortcut to the readme next to the shortcut to the game in the start menu.

To get the cheat box up, press Ctrl-Alt and C together - a little box appears at the top of the screen and you type the cheat in that.
