  1. Ralph Greenleaf and Willie Mosconi both wrote excellent books. Check out snooker on BBC.

    There are video tips.

  2. All you need is to keep playing pool. that is the only way you are going to get better. all those books do is tell you what to do. you actully are the one putting english on the ball and telling it where you want it to go. Just go to a pool table by yourself and just hit the ball different ways to see what it happens to it. Then when you play with your friends you have an idea where the ball is going to go

  3. By yourself? That will take a lot of personal time on a pool table. Taking lessons on the sly will be far more beneficial.

But if you insist, there are many books that include diagrams and offer advice on stance, stroke, aiming, what weight stick to use, etc. (unless you are playing off the wall).

  4. Good way to learn to beat yourself i practice to keep from giving it away for nothing if im gonna shoot I wanna get paid

you should get a BCA Inst before your freinds do

  5. The best way to get better is to play the sport.  I've played for about 2 years now and I can now beat my husband.  He is at high skill level.

  6. Just practice everyday I'm sure it help a lot.

  7. Well what i did was i read this book >> http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Idiots-Gu...

    and then just play...

play on tables by ur self [setting up shots and dif. scenarios] play with people. [better than you so you can progress].

    good luck
