  1. You have to get a recent copy of your birth certificate and send/take it to a Peruvian consulate near the place where your birth certificate is issued.

If you have ever been married, you will have to do the same with the divorce decree.

Then there are some other requirements such as medical and a few other things that will take about a week in the province you plan on getting married in.

All of the above is made on the assumption you plan on marrying in Peru in a civil wedding.

    good luck

  2. Awww that's so cute that you are getting married in Peru!

Well I'm not so sure but the first guy's answer looks accurate to me.

    Again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

  3. I think the first person is right and that you need to get a lawyer to sign a document saying you haven't been married. I would also translate all documents into Spanish before you go and take your originals as they may not accept just the English ones. I'm not sure if it has to be confirmed in Peru - I suggest contacting the Peruvian embassy in Canada to be certain.

  4. Either at the Canadian Embassy

Or at the record's office in Canada

Do't get it translated in Canada, because the only legal translators that are recognised in Peru are here in Peru.  YOu'll have to get the doc legalised by the Peruvian Embassy in Canada first, then run all over here for more legalisations and translations.  Best bet is finding a translator who will do it all for you, it should only cost you about 60 bucks.
