Where do I return beer bottles in San Jose? Or do I just throw them into the trash bin?

I'm new to California. In Canada we could always just bring them to the Beer Store and get a refund on the bottles. I asked at BevMo and the guy shrugged at me and said "dunno". Is bottle returning not a possible thing to do?

Bring the bottles to any recycling centers. There's one down Beryessa next to San Jose Flea Market. it's called American Metal and Iron. They buy back bottles at $0.10/lb.

You can find any Recylce center. There are many in San Jose Area.

I'm not sure, but I think every grocery store ought to have a machine as well.  Hope this helps!
