Where do I stand if My boss doesn't pay me this month?

I'm salaried and am a bit concerned that I won't get paid this month,due this week.If I don't get paid what can I do and do I still have to go in to work?

  1. There is a girl I know going thru the same thing. I say don't go to work unless the boss pays you. She feels sorry for the boss cause shes going thru things(the boss). But come on, you got to live and eat too right. Don't go and record the conversation when you speak to this boss about it and take it to court if she fires you for it. Make sure you get her saying things like Im sorry I havent been paying you and I know I owe you for blah blah weeks. Stand up for your self and don't don't let anybody take advange of you. Oh yeah, it might be time to be looking for another job, if you can't count on that person to pay you on time. Good Luck!


  2. Well...your boss has to pay you for the time you spent working...illegal otherwise, so you might want to mention that.  And if your in an at will state, unless your contractually obligated, you can quit at any time, so no, you wouldn't still have to go to work.  They can't just not pay you.
