  5. November is one of the best times to visit the beaches of Guanacaste.  We are located in Playas del Coco, the rentals in the area are quite reasonable.  We have 2 Bedroom apartments available for between $60 and $70 per night as well as studios available on a weekly basis for prices around $300.   If your looking for something more long term, as in a few months prices drop considerably.

Some of the best people to speak to about finding a rental is the area realtor's.  I know personally we have several clients that bought units that would love to rent them.

Also from Playas del Coco there are about 30 other beautiful beaches nearby, and plenty of nightlife.

  8. El Tabacon is a beautiful resort at the base of Volcan Arenal.  Sit in a natural hot spring with your favorite cocktail and watch the lava spew from the volcano.

For an environmentally relaxing trip check out Campanrio, you have to take speed boats to get there.  Way cool place!

  9. Hi,

Your best bet is in the Guanacaste Province to avoid rains, although some rain should be expected.

In Malpais and Montezuma there are many smaller B&Bs and hotels, go online and visit malpais.net for some examples.

I would stay away from Tamarindo, since it has become too touristy and the oceanfront is polluted.

    Good luck,

    Carlos

  10. i would rent a house and a car, do your own exploring. my favorite area is guanacaste great beaches near by, playa hermosa, playa coco, playa panama. only a 30 min drive to tamarindo if you wanna do a day trip. best zip lining is in that area, and GREAT fishing and scuba.
