I'm switching colleges this fall. I'm going to ask some teachers from my previous college to write me letters of recommendation. In the email where should I tell them to send the letters?

  1. To the new schools' adm&records' office if it's a transcript;  and if individual recommendation letters, then address them to the head (professor) of the department in the classes you'll be in.  ie.  Mathematics, Physics, etc...

    good luck

  2. They can address the letters as To Whom it May Concern:

and mail the letters directly to you, that way you can make copies to take to any job interviews you have in the future and whatever college you apply to.

I had my cooperating teachers when I student-taught, a teacher I subbed for while she was on maternity leave, and 2 of my college professors write letters of recommendation for me and this is what they did.

Anytime I sent out a resume for a teaching position, I added copies of the letters of recommendation, copies of my degree/certificate, etc.
