  1. People usually gather at the main square of each town. In Mexico, the main square or Zocalo may receive about 200,000 people. Other popular spots to gather are the main squares of certain neighbours as Coyoacan, or any place where we may find good tequila.

  2. Horoscopo is quite right, every city and town in Mexico make a celebration and their mayor or Governor says the "Grito", he yells out "Viva Dolores, Vivan los heroes que nos dieron patria etc... Viva mexico".

You then have a popular party with mariachi and dances, tequila and flags everywhere.

    The typical places are:

    Dolores, Hidalgo

    San Miguel de Allende Guanajuato

    Guanajuato, Guanajuato,

    Mexico City

  3. In Mexico City main Square "El Zocalo" Sept 15,16.

  4. El Zocalo and in most towns large and small there is a celebration in the square or public park. Lots of celebrations here in Baja Norte on the beaches.

  5. In Mexico city? in El Zocalo, you can fit up to 200000 people there, another important place, the president gives the grito at least once in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, cause there is where the original grito happened 197 years ago
