Where do University of Houston students live off campus?

Just wondering where UH Students live off campus since UH is mainly a commuter school. I don't want to live in the dorms again and the on campus apartments suck (from what I hear and read). In what part of town do most students live? Apartment names and location?

most of the time people live in houses but you can live in a cardboard box if you want

You can try the "Spring Branch" area and look at some apartments, there's some really cheap apartments. I found some for only 556 dollars month! Look on the street Kirkwood.

Clear Lake, Pearland, Pasadena, Friendswood... to name a few from the SE side of the city.

It depends on how long you are willing to commute and the gas money.

since UH is a commuter school you can live anywhere you want...i know this doesn't answer your question...but really it does.  most people drive in from sugarland, clear lake and the woodlands to go to school there.  you can however live closer to the school and not really commute in.  you can live downtown, midtown and even uptown (gallaria area).  hope that helps
