Where do accents come from??

Like do us Americans have them? Is it the enviroment that gives an accent? Like people in North America don't got a British accent.. I'm really interested in knowing! Thank you.

  1. Anyone has one according to anyone who you hear has one.

Accents are regional.  If you grow up in any disctrict of any state or county or small town, you will pick up the accent.  It's what you hear as a small child.  You learn to pronounce words the only way you have been taught.   Accents may change every 50 miles.   I have the gift of mimmicking accents.  Just listen to people and you'll be able to tell where they live.  I am a Canadian and I love your American accents.  My favourite is the Boston accent.
