Where do actors learn about upcoming roles?

im just curious. where do they learn about upcoming movies and roles and where to audition for them?

From their agents, who find out from casting directors or breakdown services, which are hired/used by production companies, that choose which projects to do.

EDIT: Even child actors (especially) have agents, it's the only legitimate way to find out about big movie auditions.

they're apart of agencies and have an agent. agents help you get acting jobs by booking auditions for a movie, etc. that match your criteria.
