Where do animals go once they die?

i just lost my cat a couple of days ago (she got knocked over) its like ive lost a best friend and ive just bin wonderin where animals go once they die

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.



All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I think animals have the same "soul" that humans do. So wherever WE go, I think they do too.

i'd like to hope they go to heaven so that when we get to heaven we can be with them again......i dont see why they wouldn't i mean god made them too so why not

We accidentally ran over one of the 7 kittens on the farm on Saturday.....I balled my eyes out....but I just keep telling myself that god has a plan for everything, whether we think it's right or wrong, it's meant to be. ....   I truly believe when I get to heaven, I will see my old pets there waiting for me!

i think only an animal could answer that one. i know how you feel about your cat. i'm reading a series about cats and when they die they go to this place called "Starclan." that's only a book, though, so i don't know.

Rainbow bridge of course!  I'm gonna me overwhelmed when I finally go! I have had many animals close to me.  I have four right now!

well what i think is that they go 2 heaven and if he/ she has bin a bad kitty then shes going 2 hec.(no efence)

Who knows, we don't even know where WE go once we die! but I have a feeling that wherever we go, other animals go too. So maybe you and your cat will meet up again one day.
