Where do anime pictures and all that fantasy stuff come from?

where does it all come from and how come so many people share it? It's so weird to me, because i've had a fantasy type world of my own for a long time and it never came form anywhere but my own mind and when i saw thatso many other people where thinking of the same stuff it freaks me out. Please someone explain this to me. when i was younger i never even read or saw anime or fantasy books or tv but i still thought and day dreamt it and when i saw it on tv the first time i coyuln't beleive it. and there's so many fantasy books out there. where does this come from and how come so many of us share it. It's freaking me out. is there some kind of other dreamworld that we all share in our dreams?

I would say that people who are "connected" to the same kind of thing have the same inspiration and motivation, and their results look similar as a result. Why do you think that new car designs all appear at the same time, and all look like they were inspired by the same artist? Theres more to life than what we can see.
