Question:

Where do bees go at night?

During the day I see tons of bees all over every tree and bush, then at night there's none. Yet I never see them 'traveling' home to a hive or someplace else at night. So are there hives in every tree and bush I see? If they move from location to location, wouldn't we see bees traveling all over the place, all the time?

  1. bees spend the night in their hive.  beekeepers normally place the hives in a fairly open area.  bees travel some distances from their hive to where ever they can find pollen.  bees communicate the location of the pollen to other bees using a special dance
