If you mean geographically, they grow all over the Pacific Northwest and in southern British Columbia. In fact, they're a major weed here that you really don't want in your garden.

Over grown areas like fence rows, forest edges.over grown field edges etc. Look for bright white nickle sized flowers in the spring , no more than 6 ft tall, along country roadsides etc. to find them.

they grow on a thorny vine in the wild, probably all the Southern states, not sure how far north they may grow

We have them all over in missouri,  I just picked a gallon on sunday and made cobbler YUMMY!!!

we have them in central virginia; picked lots in late june and early july.  we have both thorny and thornless bushes.
