Where do box turtles lay eggs?

im not going to harm them, i just need to know where i can find a nest of them in the woods, would they be in the creek or in the ground or where??

Turtles bury their eggs in sandy or gravelly spots.

In the EXTREMELY unlikely event that you find a nest, do not disturb them- doing so would probably kill them.
