  1. At night, or when the day is cloudy, adult butterflies rest by hanging upside down from leaves or twigs, where they are hidden among the foliage.

    When butterflies cannot keep their temperatures at activity levels, when its cloudy, or at night they become quiescent. This quiescence, or resting, is not equivalent to human sleep. Butterflies always have their eyes open, since they do not have eyelids

    butterflies sleep in the stomachs of frogs... do they sleep? well, if i only had a lifespan of hours, im buggered if im going to waste it sleeping

  3. Butterflies will hide in the thick foliage or undergrowth hanging from the undersides of the leaves or they crawl into clefts of rocks or a pile of wood other safe places. They do the same for the night.

    Urmm not sure but if i took a guess i'd say they do but hidden away from predators so in bushes
