Where do deer go in NH after the winter and where do they hide their fawns?

Deer usually stay in the woods and roam through the plains and meadows at night to search for food like berries and that kind of stuff.They take their fawns with them usually when they go places unless the mother is killed by another wild animal and then thefawn has to fend for itself.   :(
