Where do environmentalists stand on:?

I'm looking for where the MAJORITY of envonmetalists stand on.

1. Comercially raised meat

2. Hunting

I'd say that environmentalists take a strong stance against the way our commercially available meat is raised.  Organizations like PETA probably best voice their opinions on this subject.  

Responsible hunting is something they would tend more to agree with.  The reason is that hunters and environmentalists really want the same thing: preservation of natural resources so that hunting and wildlife may continue.  Most environmentalists realize that if too many deer, for example, are around; then most of them will die of starvation during the winter.  Hunting is just a natural way of life to bring balance to the ecosystem, where as farm-raised food is a relatively new practice designed for only one thing: profit.  As long as the hunter consumes the meat, then there is nothing wrong with it.  However, some types of hunting are just after animal parts like tusks or skins.  I don't agree with this and neither do most environmentalists.

Enviornmentalists are the ones with the hearts, republicans are the ones with the money and guns, I say, lets get it on, sooner the better.

Also, what is an "Environmentalist"?

I think that those issues should be thought through before you will get useful information.

we could care less what a terrorist  that call themselves PETA think.

most of the money the government spends on wildlife programs comes from  the fees for hunting and fishing licenses.

when the people that claim they are enviromentist can come up with the money to fund these programs then they can try to do it.
