Where do flying squirrels go during the cold season?

Question

I know they don't like cold so where do they go so that they'll be warm and what do they get for food?

They hang out in holes in trees when it's cold.  

They eat all kinds of fruits (which includes nuts and seeds) as well as invertebrates and small animals like lizards.
