Where do frogs go in the winter??

where do they go ,,too sleep,, die off also wondering about the fly thanks alot everyone

  1. I would say they go underground. But, who knows, I'm not quite sure what their life span is.


  2. I know some kind of Canadian frog will just freeze in the winter in suspended animation and it thaws out once spring comes. I'm not too sure about flies though, maybe they do the same thing that frogs do.

  3.   The frogs around here burrow deep into the mud and hibernate.

  5. Some burrow under mud, others in burrows or under moist leaf litter. Leopard frogs just lie deep under water in a hiding spot in a type of hibernation. I have seen them on a sunny day in later winter come out on the bank. They move real slow then. Some freeze and survive and others have natural antifreeze.
