Please allow me to give you some sound advice about being a German and being in London.

Germans are not popular here in London or in other parts of the UK.  It's not that we hate the Germans but here in London we have very long memories or WW2.  I know this must be bloody annoying for you, but that's how it is.

Keep a low profile and try not to sound too German when you speak.

In spite of the fact that Britons like myself are Germanic, we are far away from being German as it is possible to get.  

Then there's the buiness of Gemany always beating England at Football.
