The other answers are correct..they mostly go to Mexico, Central and South America.  However, just wanted to mention that some hummingbirds are non-migratory, and do not go anywhere.  Here in California we get the Anna's Hummingbird year round.

Those hummingbirds of North America have to migrate south.  They must go to where the flowers are.  Mexico, Central America, South America, Cuba and the Caribbean.

They don't get winters in the tropics, so they mostly stay where they were.
