  1. If you know what you want, amazon.com has the best deals!

  2. try to go to a close book store.  you can always go to barnes and nobles, they have reasonable prices.

  3. amazon is always good

  4. you can buy them in any regular bookstore in your place.

it is already indicated in the covers whether the books will be for kids from 3 to 4 and so on..

this will revolve in topics like shapes, numbers from 1-10, letters, parts of the body, colouring books, dot to dot, name the colours, and wide array of big pictures books to help your child learn about things even if they still don't go to school.

here in the Philippines: we have National bookstore, goodwill bookstores, you can also find it at TOY KINGDOM and TOYS are US .

  5. Ebay is where I shop.  Usually I buy what they call book lots.  Sometimes I get a specific book lot such as Clifford or board books, but most of the time it is a mixed lot.  Not all of the books are always usable, but I have always saved money by using Ebay.

  6. Check out Usborne Books!   They are all educational, well-researched, and the illustrations are amazing!  The website is http://www.ubah.com/g2687

Also, they offer a Literacy for a Lifetime program.  http://www.literacyforalifetime.com  This is a grant-matching program!  If you receive a grant, and would like to use this money to buy books, Usborne will match the grant money by 50%!  So, a $1000 grant would buy you $1500 in books!  You can also host an online E-Fair, where friends, parents, anyone can order books.  The school will get to choose free books based on the total sales.  Happy shopping!

  7. Usually at craigslist, many people will sell or give away children's books.  I live in Montreal and have a box of kids' books to give away if anyone wants.

  8. Well, I would recommend that you first try to go to the elementary schools and see if their library is giving away old books, or you can go to any public library and ask them the same thing, or ask your neighbors and friends, or the last resort will be to go to your closest book store, or if non of the above work for you go online and order books that way. Hopefully I was some help. And good luck on finding some. I just thought of something go garage hopping and see if you find any.

  9. I think you should go to your public library or maybe you can ask neighborhoods and neighbors if they have any books. Hope you find more books to read.

  10. Start off at your local bookstore. If they are any good they will probably have some books which have educational aspects to them.

Once you've found some at your local bookstore look at who published them.

Contact the publisher to find out if there are any other educational ealrly childhood books they publish or if there are any trade shows you could attend coming up.

You may also want to ask around the daycare/preschool's in your area to find out where they get their books from

  11. This is a wonderful resource for purchasing the types of books you are looking for. The company is owned and operated by two former teachers.

    www.innovative-educators.com

  12. You could use libraries or bookstores, but the better choice is the NAEYC.  These are always heavily researched and most typically authored by persons who have practical, first hand, teaching experience. In short, these are written by teaching professional for the teaching professional, parents, aides and various ece facilitators.  I still have/use many books from naeyc conferences from 15 years ago.  I would add, that myself and many many others research on this site regularly from the broad, to the most specific/obscure topics.  You should also go to a conference in your area that will be detailed on the site.  Good Luck

  13. Toddler toddler.com

    family education.com

Go to your local teacher's store, although you will spend quite a bit of money there, so try the consignment part of the store first.  If you mean curriculum books, try eBay, or half.com.  At my childcare we use pinnacle.  The mailbox.com is awesome.  If you're talking about books to read to the children, try salvation army, goodwill, and scholastic.com.

  14. I get all my books from a secondhand children's store in my area. Do a websearch for one, they usually sell items for 1/2 of what it costs new and are great quality.
