Where do i buy those door locks where it is a rigid bar that sticks into door frame and lock you slide over?

its a rigid bar with one almost perpendicular edge that sticks into the lock slot in the door frame and when you close the door you slide the lock with keyhole onto the rigid bar and lock it, making the door not openable

  1. Check hardware store or home depot.

You are describing a "deadbolt" lock.  They can be purchased anywhere they sell door-k***s.  If security is your concern, I recommend the type that uses a key both on the inside as well as the outside.  This prevents a burglar from coming in through...say...the window and then simply opening the door to exit with all your stuff.  Also, some insurance companies will apply a protective device discount to your homeowners/renters policy if you have that type of lock.
