Most of my friends who have any German in them tan nicely without burning or getting too tan.

Irish and some German- Bavarian - can have some old Roman blood. Polish and Lithuanian slight chance of Lapp, Tatar/Asiatic  bloodline - Remember Subatai khan had horde conquer north eastern Europe about 1300s. Germans around Baltic coast trading area had chance of other darker bloodlines to be mixed also. .

I'm part Lithuanian too!  That doesn't have anything to do with your skin tone, which you probably did not get from your Irish heritage since you don't burn easily.
