An SSID(service set identifier)is the name of a wireless local area network (WLAN). All wireless devices on a WLAN must employ the same SSID in order to communicate with each other.

you can open up command prompt and type in "ipconfig" (no quotations)

The SSID is something that you can name yourself, or you can let your equipment do it. Usually the SSID is set within the WLAN settings of your router or modem. If you have more questions on how to do this, I would consult your Wirless Router Manual.

Double click your connection icon (In your task bar),  go to detail tab and you should find you IP address there.

The quickest way is www.whatismyip.com

If you can't access the internet go to your start > run... > type "cmd" and type "cd C:\" and type "ipconfig\all" and look at it there.
