My wedding is outside in the woods behind my fiance's house. I want to keep it a very relaxed outdoor summer wedding. I wanted my bridesmaids dresses to comfortable dresses that are cheaper, something like a sundress. Where can i shop for these?

  1. The best place to search for a sundress would be JcPenney's if they haven't clearanced them out yet.  I got one there when I went on my cruise.  It was on sale for 50% off.

  2. Walmart is a good place, along with JC penny....

since my wedding is in march and all the springy dresses are going to be out, I might just get my flowergirl dress from there

then I might have the ring bearer wear black pants, and a blue polo so it doesn't get uncomfortable for him...

But Just about every other dress I'm getting is either off of ebay or davids bridal. 2nd hand stores may have some too ^_^

  3. I bought my bridesmaid dress from http://www.shopshop.com/

    they were beautiful and CHEAP!

  4. J.Crew, Gap, Ann Taylor (and Ann Taylor Loft), the Limited, or any department store.

  5. check out the web site listed below...  great casual stuff for a summer wedding.

  6. I would look on clearance racks at your local department store you shop at.  ALL the summer stuff is on sale right now, so you ought to be able to find a great deal, if you're willing to look.  You might not get the same exact dress--but I'll bet you could find some that coordinate with each other.  Look on ebay as well.  The more you need, the harder it's going to be, so hopefully you don't have more than 2 or 3 bridesmaids to begin with.  Good luck!

  7. Try Reitmans

  8. Online is always a good place to start.  They're loads of sites online to buy all kinds of dresses.  Something plain, cute and cheap could be found here for example:

    http://www.lightinthebox.com/Strapless-S...

It's the first link that popped up in google and I think the dresses look great.

If you're looking for something just light and not so formal I found some cute ones on this site:

    http://www.ever-pretty.com/summer-dress....

    Best of luck :-)

  9. Anywhere.  Remember, just because you're having bridesmaids wear them, doesn't mean the label on the dress needs to read "Bridal".  You can shop at any nicer store (or clearance store like Marshalls or TJMaxx) for dresses that you and the girls like.  There are no dress police that will show up at your wedding!  Your friends will certainly appreciate having a dress that doesn't cost a fortune :-)

Have fun making your day special.

  10. Well, we did a tropical/beach themed wedding, and I found my bridesmaids dresses on this link in women's dresses then go into to short dresses. http://lavahut.com You can find them in any color they are very inexpensive, and comfortable.

  11. JCrew

  12. uh.....at a....store!

  13. i got my bridesmaids dresses from coldwater creek online...they have really great deals and they have good selection of sizes xs(4)-3x. i had to order a size 6 for one of my bridesmaids who is a size 2 and it was only $15 to get it altered. and they have a no hassle return policy-very important! anyways good luck and congrats :)

  14. As long as they are all on the small side you could look at Sears...or Walmart...

  15. David's Bridal has a cute line of halter sun dresses in all different colors and patters.

  16. Davids bridals sells a different types of dresses

  17. my best friend did this.  we bought all of our dresses at goodwill for a little bit of nothing.  no flowers.  this saved her a little extra money to spend on the reception.  added bonus...the dresses were very wearable after the wedding.  they just weren't going to hang in the closet and collect dust.

you could also try stores like sears, jcpenneys and dillards.  they'll be having end-of-summer sales soon.

  18. JCrew dresses are awesome and your bridesmaids will Definately be able to wear them again.  I wouldn't mind paying a little bit more for a dress that I could wear again.

  19. Most places have sun dresses. Even Davids Bridal. I got married last year and I remember seeing them. I am sure they still carry them. You can check out their website as well. Or you can go to Dillards or some place like that. They usually have a great dress section! Hope this helps!
