Along the roadside that borders a golf course.  There is usually a fence to keep people out of the golf course so when the golfers hit it over the fence they can't go get it.  Also look on the other side of the street, as if it hits the road it can bounce a long way.

When golfers hit their tee shots, run out into the fairway and take the golf balls.
