Where do i get gemstones cut?

I went gem mining and i got a couple of good gems and want to get them cut? Where would i get that done? Can you post some website links?

Have you considered talking to a local jeweler to see if they could help you?  That would be my first thought.

You want someone that does Lapidary.

Start out with your local jeweler and then if that doesn't work try a Lapidary Club, Rock Hounds, or the link below. Hopefully there is some place near you.

You might want to ask if the person has ever cut with the type of stone that you have. Each stone has different crystal structures and hardnesses.

If you plan to make this a hobby you might want to look into Lapidary and Jewelry classes

go to  www.amfed.org  they will have a list of rock clubs in your area and you might find someone there to help you
