Where do i go for tour in monsoon season in india?

for 5-6 days... i m from surat--gujarat

The back waters of kerala will be ideal. Also in mid august there is a boat race in alleppy, so i think kerala should be your choice but 5-6 days is a short time unless u plan to travel by air it is not feasible as travelling time will be around 30 - 32 hrs for you by train ( it took us 27 hrs by train from bombay).

Kerala is definately the best place to go during the monsoon. The lashing rains transform the backwaters into an even more magical place than they are normally. An extra advantage is that there will be less tourists and the prices of accomodation are lower.

The best place is Kerala. special packages available from tour operators. Try places like Kumarakom, Wynadu, Munnar etc.
