  1. Actually, there isn't any official card for being a resident of Ontario. Here's the Government of Ontario website on cards, maybe you're thinking of something else - such as your Ontario birth certificate, Ontario driver's license, Social Insurance card, or Ontario health card?     I know that some other Canadian provinces have optional ID cards for people without driver's licenses, usually for the purpose of allowing them to do things restricted for people of a certain age (like buying alcohol or getting into nightclubs). In Ontario, you can get the BYID card for buying alcohol, if you don't have other ID:
