Where do i go to make my own website

Question

i want to make my own website called molly.com

that begins with my name and last name. i want to make it as a blogging website..where do i go to make that website and about how much will it cost?

go to www.freewebs.com and once your registered you can choose if you want freewebs.com/molly or www.molly.com/freewebs or something like that. i think its free.

Hi,

First you need to check its availability, which can be checked at whois.net .

Then after registering your domain name with Godaddy or another hoster that you chose (I use Verio), you can start with your website.

Now, you c an make it yourself from scratch, have it made or use a service with already pre-made templates (what I use).

If you want to make it as a blogging, you c an use a blogging service, such as Blogger or Wordpress. If you want your website's name to appear with only its domain, you'll have to point the DNS(s) to the blogging service.

Let me give you may example :

I have my domain under Verio as Hushcolours.com

My website is hosted by Netclime and is sitekreator.com/hushcolours.index.html

So that users may just type hushcolours.com, my DNS at Verio are pointed to Sitekreator.

I know that this may sound complicated but it isn't that much.

There are also some services who offer the website and domain registration and will do that for you.

i think its about $10 a yr for a site but i thnk you have to buy a server you can get one for $4 or so
