  1. would never go to turkey with a baby never in a million years,my brother went with his wife and my niece and just kept getting hassle cos his wife is blond and my niece also,

    to extent he had to go into a police station to get away from men following them,not nice.

    try greece on of the islands is best always friendly and genuine people,

  3. Turkey is an excellent country to visit with a baby or young children because everyone adores all kids and is very kind, interested and helpful - in fact the problem may be too much kindness, interest and (unnecessary) help!

    It would probably be best to avoid the searing heat of the south if planning on coming at the height of summer.

    Dalyan is a good all round resort with a good beach, some ancient ruins, nice cafes and restaurants and other activities but it retains its Turkish atmosphere and isn't too rowdy. The transfer time there from Dalaman airport isn't too taxing either.

    Alternatively you could consider some of the outlying areas of Bodrum - Ortakent, Gumusluk etc but avoid Bodrum itself and Gumbet as they are filled with people out on the razzle at night.

    Thomas Cook offer Dalyan:  http://www.thomascook.com/destinations/t...

    Thomson have Gumusluk;

  4. Steve D is doing his regular Greek propaganda. I live in USA. Never go to Greece, All my American friends who went to Greece said Greeks were looking at them as they were Martians. Bothering them and talking racist. However, all who went to Turkey was delighted by friendliness of Turks.

  5. Unlike others that seem to have answered this question, I have lived in Turkey. They do NOT have Camels. I would suggest a few places: Istanbul in the Sultanahmet section where you can visit St Sophia, the Blue Mosque and many others are within walking distance. Even if you have blond hair it won't make a difference.

    Another area you might like is Kusadasi. The first s should have a tail so it sounds like a sh. It's a tourist area, and beautiful beaches, mostly European in flavor.
