hi im a beginner in buying things online how does shipping and handling work? where do i pay? who do i pay? and how much does it usually cost? thank you if you posted a answer

  1. You pay shipping and handling to the seller. It's added on to your total purchase price.

    Cost for S&H? .... it varies.

    Depends on what method the seller uses to ship items, UPS, FedEx, US mail.

    Depends on the weight sometimes too, the heavier your item is, the more it costs to ship.

    Depends on the distance you are from the seller, if you live on the East coast, and you buy something from a seller on the West coast, it could cost you more.

    Some sellers will charge you a flat rate based on the total dollar amount of your purchase.

    Some sellers might even offer FREE shipping on purchases over a certain amount.

    What ever the case may be, S&H charges should be clearly posted somewhere on the web site.
