Where do i put an htm file to make it appear as my website?

I have a htm file (a developer made it for me) a I want this as my website but I dont have a clue what to do, I just bought godaddy hosting. where do i put the htm file to make it appear as my website?

theres already a html file, so replace it with yours

try applying for a free account at www.freehostia.com/. They provide bannerless free web hosting, with FTP account too.

By default it needs to be named index.html or index.htm. Your hoster should have directions as to where the file goes on your space on their server e.g in html_public.

You need to use FTP to transfer it.
