  1. National don't call registry

  2. 1 get an answering machine and caller ID. 2 register your # on the don't call list, the URL is "donotcall.gov". 3 in the front of your phone book there is a section on how to report such calls. There is a rash of bill collectors that buy old written off debts from credit card co.s and try to collect from people that have nothing to do with the original debt. Once you have recorded their call you can call them and tell them to stop calling you if it is not your debt. There are some tough laws that you can then take advantage of up to including suing them if they continue.

  3. 1.)  Report actual harassment to your local police.

2.)  Regardless of whether or not the telephone number you are receiving calls is on the Do Not Call registry, file a complaint with the FCC here: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

3.) If your telephone number is on the DNC registry, file a complaint here: https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/comp...

4.)  Depending on your state, you can file a complaint with your State's Attorney General's office.  There are a list of states with links to their complaint websites on our blog here: http://www.everycall.us/blog/2008/07/do-...

5.)  You can file a complaint in a public forum on our website http://www.everycall.us and let others know about your frustrations.

All of the above will require certain information about the caller, such as their telephone number, company name, etc.  Good luck!

  4. It depends what they're saying. If it's foul language, or sexual talk, call the cops, if not, tell the company to take you off their list and make you're number a private number.

  5. whocalled.us is the website where you can tell others not to pick up the phone if that number calls

  6. Local police/law enforcement station

  7. look up the attorneys generals office in Colorado. thats how you deal with over the phone businesses. my mom has to deal with them all the time

  8. dial *57 after they call and it will trace the call. Then you call the operator and report them. Also make sure you are on the government's do not call list.

    https://www.donotcall.gov/

*57 might not work in some areas.

  9. The phone company cant do anything about these calls, only if they are anonymous calls. You need to file a police report for harassment and then the phone company can give the police records of the calls.

  10. the phone company who will set up a system where if the calls continue you call them the moment the call comes in you contact them, and sometimes they give you a code to enter each time you get the call  and they trace the call and if it continues they forward the info to the police who handles it,note the phone company will not give you the callers phone number but the police will contact you after doing an investigation and ask you if you know such and such a person once they identify the calls as harrasing and only then will it be a court issue and charges laid,it is a little fraustrating process as you have to call the phone company as soon as you get the calls you suspect are the ones or dial some code ..good luck

  11. the phone company?
