i have all these cool ideas and i don't know where to begin, or rather where to buy the supplies. I want a good sturdy ring that i can attach/super-glue maybe wood, plastic and metal on to. I am also looking for rings that can be sized and also have the same materials glued to them,

thank you

  3. ok are you talking about becoming a jeweler?....goldsmith?..im confused i have never seen jewelry with wood and plastic glued to it.  if you are talking about working with precious metals then there are a few schools you can attend to become a jeweler.  its not that easy you cant just buy the supplies and make things, it takes alot of training and practice, and can be dangerous because you are working with a torch.  many jewelers started working in a jewelry store and become apprentices to the jeweler.  perhaps you should find a private jewelry store in your area and try to get a job there, it might take a while but the jeweler may apprentice you or at least give you guidance and you can watch how its done.  but trust me its hard to start out because jewelers are crazy, i swear, I'm not crazy but most are really weird.
