  1. Hi, if it is post-1930 it is easy, pre-1930 is still quite a mess and fragmented all over, though the starting point is the same.

If you live anywhere in Mexico and already know the marriage date and have, for one of the spouses, accurately, their name, surname and mother's maiden name, you can get a certificate online.  (or get someone friendly to forward it to you if you are not in the country):

    https://egobierno.nl.gob.mx/egob/actasMa...

Or for further information, you could contact the Director of the Civil Registry (handles births, deaths and marriages).  This is the main office.  There are about 25 official branches.

    Lic. Benjamin Mario Mendoza Garza

    Director del Registro Civil

Washington y Dr. Coss, Monterrey, Nuevo León C.P. 64000

    email: benjamin.mendoza@mail.nl.gob.mx

    Telephones: 2020-9800, 2020-9802 y 2020-9837

(if international, country code is 52; Area Code [lada] is 81)

They don't usually speak any English!

    Best wishes.
