Where do lichen trees grow?

I heard that the Lichen trees grow in the arctic. Is that true? Or does the Taiga trees grow in the arctic? Confused. If the Lichen or Taiga trees grow in the arctic, can you discrbe the niche of the producer and how it benifits 3 oter organisms?

    Taiga is a term for an colder type of biome, that has coniferous trees. it is not a tree.
